I recently joined the hardware team at Wayve as a part of the hardware team working on vehicle integration for autonomous vehicles.

Amazon Robotics

August 2020-February 2022

I worked in Boston, Massachusetts as a Safety Support Engineer at Amazon Robotics. In this role I supported robotics facilities globally by providing guidance in the case of safety events. I also provided safety input for risk assessments across different Amazon Robotics technologies and supported building launches globally by monitoring safety equipment training for Amazon Associates and ensuring safety goals have been met prior to launch. Most recently I managed the 2021 Prime Day Program and 2021 and 2022 peak seasons for the safety team.

Northeastern University

While at Northeastern University I completed three six month long co-op's. This co-op program allowed me to work full-time as a mechanical engineer at three very different companies.

Co-Op 1: QuEST Global, East Hartfort, CT

Co-Op 2: SOPAT GmbH, Berlin, Germany

Co-op 3: Square Robot, Boston, MA

Square Robot

July-December 2018

I completed my third six-month co-op a Square Robot, a startup located in Boston, Massachusetts, that builds autonomous vehicles for oil tank inspections. While at Square Robot, I was able to take part in a major milestone for the company, where we went from research and development to becoming certified for actual implementation of the product in oil tanks.

I also designed a vehicle mount and created drawings and documentation for a Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) in SolidWorks, used additive manufacturing to create a mount to use for in water testing and work with suppliers to order a finalized mount, and furthered my understanding of 3D modeling, prototyping, and building hardware that was compatible with harsh environments and the various electronic devices that were used on the vehicle.

Square Robot - Autonomous Inspection in Harsh Environments - SOLIDWORKS. Square Robot is revolutionizing the inspection of oil tanks with an autonomous robot that can perform assessments without the disruption. As a startup, they need to move quickly and focus on getting their product to market, rather than on deploying software. Watch how 3DEXPERIENCE PLM Collaboration Services allowed them to improve design team collaboration, shorten time to market and establish data fidelity and digital continuity.

SOPAT GmbH

July-December 2017

I completed my second co-op at SOPAT GmBH, a startup in Berlin, Germany that designs photo-optical and image-based analysis measurement technology. One of the major tasks I had while working at SOPAT was to design a smaller version of the VR probe.

Once I completed the design for the new VR probe I created 2D drawings of the probe assembly and parts to be sent out for manufacturing. The photo here is a picture of the probe before my re-design.

Prior to completing this task I did not have much SolidWorks experience aside from creating basic parts before starting this project. I did a lot research and used demonstrations and tutorials that I found online and from a SolidWorks textbook in order to be able to create the internals of the probe. There were many small details that needed to be taken into consideration for this project that I needed to learn how to create in SolidWorks.

I was able to create the parts, assembly, and 2D drawing using SolidWorks. The drawings were sent to a manufacturer and the first version of the new probe was created and assembled before the end of my Co-op.

After completing this project I drastically improved knowledge of SolidWorks, learned how to properly create and dimension drawings for production, and gained a better understanding about how parts are machined during production.

QuEST Global

July-December 2016

My first co-op experience was at QuEST Global. QuEST Global is a product engineering company in the Aero Engines, Aerospace & Defense, Hi-Tech & Industrial, Medical Devices, Oil & Gas, Power, and Transportation verticals. I completed my first six month co-op at QuEST Global in East Hartford Connecticut while working on my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University.

While at QuEST Global I rotated through three departments and gained an understanding of fracture mechanics and fatigue, learned how to use programs such as ANSYS and Siemens NX, and worked directly with customers from Pratt & Whitney to create repair solutions for both military and commercial non-conforming engine parts.

VEREIT

June-July 2015

VEREIT

VEREIT is a full-service real estate operating company which owns and manages one of the largest portfolios of single-tenant commercial properties in the U.S. The Company has total real estate investments of $15.6 billion including approximately 4,000 properties and 94.7 million square feet.

Outside of the co-op program, I worked as a human resources intern at VEREIT (Formerly Cole Capital and ARCP) between my freshman and sophomore years during undergrad. While at VEREIT I collaborated with departments including Human Resources, Operations, Accounting, Investor Services, Securities Legal & Compliance, Marketing, IT, and Sales to complete various projects. I also attended meetings and recorded notes to be distributed to attendees, filed and organized confidential company documents, and reviewed employee bonuses and payroll information to ensure accuracy prior to payment. I gained experience in using  Salesforce, ADP, and Jobvite.
